There has been a lot of talk about this year's World Baseball Classic ⚾️ and we get the feeling sponsors are taking note. The tournament was a home run, breaking previous records for TV, attendance, and Merch sales. Not to mention, it was successful in reaching new audiences and sparking excitement for the sport according to our research. We asked US residents about their engagement this year, including their motivations for watching it. Here's what we found out: 👥 21% of those who engaged with this year's event had never followed the tournament prior to 2023 🧢 41% said the quality of team USA's players inspired them to watch 🏟 Of those who engaged, 31% indicated that the tournament increased their excitement for the upcoming MLB season.
